The Texas Gentlemen Memphis Concert reviews
Winter Wonder Slam...Terrific
Music was tight and The Texas Gentlemen show was solid, fun and rockin'. A tribute to early funk, including We are Familee and Freak Out, integrated the others in the Diverse City band with a fun moment. Early tour issues with sound a couple times (this was fourth show of tour). Great show. Wanted more from all four acts.
Stephanie Smith was sporting a new look and revved up the hard edge of her rock with great guitar work. Even did a shout out to the 80's ladies of rock with a verse of "I Love Rock and Roll". Great guitar work.
Wanted more from Relient K. They stuck to theme of Christmas more and sang 4 Christmas tunes (2 of their own). But left some of their most popular songs not on the playlist as a result. But they were rocking, very good show. Stuck to their later more serious tunes. Even Sadie Hawkins Dance was left out.
B Reith needs more time on stage to develop. Great voice, great rhymes, but seemed intimidated or at least not as confident as he does on his recorded material.
